Abstract:

We consider a more practical cognitive radio (CR) scenario when the primary user (PU) transmits with multiple levels of power. The optimal spectrum sensing algorithm at the secondary user (SU) that could discriminate the PU’s transmitting power is proposed and the corresponding performance is analyzed.  Various related issues are also discussed and we hope to open a new research are in CR.
